Rethinking road traffic: Without stop-and-go through rush hour - networked driving will make this possible. A public bus is already driving through Ilmenau today and the bus driver is just watching - thanks to autonomous driving. The art of engineering at TU Ilmenau, which young men and women learn in modern, interdisciplinary degree courses.

In their lecture at the TU Ilmenau Citizens' CampusBenjamin Dieckert and other students from TU Ilmenau will explain what is meant by networked and autonomous driving. They will show what students at TU Ilmenau are working on not only in their studies, but also in their own projects. For example, they are developing sensor node networks and autonomous miniature transporters in practicING projects and the Starcraft team is constructing high-tech racing cars that will take part in the international Formula Student race.
