Intelligent signal analysis and assistance systems can be found in many applications today - widespread as in smart home applications that digitally upgrade private households, but also still largely unknown, for example in industry or nature conservation.

In his lecture at the TU Ilmenau Citizens' Campus, Dr. Peter Hauschild uses the example of several pilot projects of the performance center InSignA (Intelligent Signal Analysis and Assistance Systems) to illustrate where such systems are used and what added value they have for private individuals, for industry, but also for the environment and thus for society as a whole. Dr. Hauschild also highlights the requirements of such systems for digitization and the associated technical challenges. Following the lecture, participants of the lecture will have the opportunity to visit the Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology, where the performance center InSignA is located, during a guided tour.
