"Day of the Libraries": Guided tour of University Library Ilmenau

Knowledge comes alive here: On the occasion of the "Day of Libraries", the University Library Ilmenau invites you to a guided tour in the Leibnizbau of the TU Ilmenau on October 28 at 10 am. Interested people from the city and the region will get a glimpse behind the scenes of the largest technical library in Thuringia. And they will learn that the library, as the knowledge center of the university campus, is not only available to students and scientists, but also to all interested people outside the university. Participation is free of charge.

The one-hour guided tour of the University Library Ilmenau not only leads to the extensive collection of books, journals and digital publications, participants also get the opportunity to discover the diverse learning and working areas. They learn how to make the best use of the library for their own research or projects, and they can also register as users on the spot. The highlight of the tour is an exhibition of exceptional books from the library collection. Only on this occasion there is the opportunity to marvel at the biggest, the most beautiful or the oldest book of the university library.
