Prof. Löffelholz speaks about AI in crisis communication in Vietnam

At the invitation of the Digital Content Creation Alliance (DCCA) of Vietnam, Prof. Martin Löffelholz presented new developments in risk and crisis communication research in Hanoi on August 8.

After an introduction to the basics of risk and crisis communication, the director of the International Crisis Communication Research Group at the Technische Universität Ilmenau explained the key potentials and possible risks of using artificial intelligence systems in crisis communication.

Prof. Löffelholz also discussed the applicability of Western crisis communication concepts in Asian cultures with Le Ngoc Son, CEO of the crisis communication consultancy "Berlin Crisis Solutions" and doctoral candidate at the TU Ilmenau, especially in the communicative management of natural disasters (hurricanes, floods), which have been increasingly observed in Vietnam in recent years.

The DCCA represents a large number of medium-sized companies that create and distribute digital content for education, entertainment and advertising in Vietnam. The event was well received by the Vietnamese public. Many daily newspapers reported on the presentations of Prof. Löffelholz and Dr. des. Le on the importance of communication for better crisis management.
