Check out our recent open-access publication in Physics of Fluids on "Flow structure and dynamics behind cylinder arrays at Reynolds number 100". The flow behind nine arrays of seven cylinders has been characterized via Particle Image Velocimetry. Each array showed its unique features; however, the flow structures could be classified into three: single bluff body, transient, and co-shedding flows. Apart from its immediate contribution to flow behind arrays of bluff bodies, the rich dynamics of such flows can also serve as an ideal candidate for applying machine learning to turbulent flow, as did their predecessor, the von Kármán vortex street.
