"Young Researcher Days" at TU Ilmenau: Young adults discover their passion for science and technology

The Young Researchers' Days - a varied program of workshops, laboratory experiments, simulations and simulation games. In the workshop "From molecules to Lego bricks - all about the plastic cycle", the young men and women learn how research is trying to make ecological awareness a reality. As a "digital astronaut", they can really feel how virtual reality is used to simulate the visual and acoustic perceptions of astronauts on space station missions. They learn how to measure and analyze electrical signals with an oscilloscope. In the computer science workshop, they explore an "embedded system" - electronics hidden deep within an application. And in the "Pitch your Green Idea" simulation game, they play their way to a sustainable business.

Participants gain deep insights into student life and have the opportunity to talk to students on the university campus. On request, further individual program points can be organized, for example laboratory tours and appointments with the student advisory service - in the hope that they will then enrol to study at TU Ilmenau.
