Radio links continue to surround and alleviate our daily business and private life. More and more applications are being explored, requiring increasing data rates, bandwidths, and carrier frequencies. It is this dynamically developing context to which our contributions to research and education are associated.
Our lecture courses, seminars, and labs provide detailed basic and advanced knowledge of the different views and applications of RF and microwave techniques. You are welcome to obtain an overview on these internet sites.
We offer challenging research topics suitable for student projects, Bachelor, Master, and doctoral theses, tailored to your individual background and interest. Funding agencies include the Freestate of Thuringia, the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation), the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the European Union, or industrial partners. The spectrum reaches from the development of novel RF and microwave devices to application-specific components and subsystems, from computer-aided design to numerical simulations and experimental verification. You may find actual topics here.
Our Research Group forms part of the Institute for Information Technology; at the same time, it is closely related to the inter-departmental institutes IMN (micro- and nano-technologies), IMF-ThiMo (especially vehicular technologies), and IMMK (media and mobile comunnications). This background offers modern infrastructure, competence, and sound knowhow, as well as a highly actual range of activities.
We will be happy to get into contact with you.
