The Karshi Engineering-Economics Institute from Uzbekistan visited Technische Universität Ilmenau on June 14, 2024. Prof. Orifjan Bazarov, Rector of the University, and Mr. Nurbek Kobilov, International Cooperation Department, were welcomed by Prof. Jens Müller, Vice President for International Affairs and Transfer, and were accompanied throughout the day by staff from the International Office and the Deaprtment of Mechanical Engineering. The reason for the delegation's visit was to discuss cooperation opportunities, including student exchanges. Mutual points of interest at department level between the two institutions are to be considered in the coming weeks. We would like to thank Prof. Bazarov and Mr. Nurbek for their initiative and for coming all the way from Uzbekistan. We are looking forward to a possible follow-up to the talks via video conference.
