Lublin University of Technology, Poland visited Technische Universität Ilmenau from June 10-12, 2024. The delegation, including the Deputy Rector for Student Affairs, the Head of Office of International Education and representatives from the fields of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, expected a wide-ranging program to explore mutual areas of interest in higher education. A visit by representatives of TU Ilmenau to TU Lublin last year paved the way for the return visit.
The program was organized by the International Office of TU Ilmenau and included a reception for the delegation by the President and Vice President for International Affairs and Transfer of TU Ilmenau, as well as participation by the Department of Computer Science and Automation, Mechanical Engineering and Economic Sciences and Media through presentations, guided tours and practical illustrations. The delegation also received guided tours from staff of the University Library, the Centre of Micro- and Nanotechnologies and the Thuringian Innovation Center for Mobility (ThiMO). Further contacts at subject level are to be established in the future in order to explore collaboration opportunities between the two universities, including within the framework of Erasmus+ mobility for students and university staff.
