On February 25, a charity concert will take place in the auditorium of the TU Ilmenaufor the benefit of the food banks in Ilmenau and Arnstadt.The orchestra "Collegium musicum" from Erfurt will play works by Edvard Grieg, Joseph Haydn, Scott Joplin, Ottorino Respighi and Georg Philipp Telemann. The concert is jointly organized by the LIONS Club Arnstadt-Ilmenau, the Rotary Clubs of Arnstadt and Ilmenau and the TU Ilmenau. Tickets cost 15 euros, reduced 10 euros (pupils, students, severely disabled) and are available in advance at Ilmenau Information or at the box office.
At present the tables in Ilmenau hand out food to 1200 persons and in Arnstadt to 700 persons, who cannot afford basic food - tendency rising. Already now the Tafeln cannot always ensure their supply sufficiently: The food donations from the supermarkets do not cover the need. The LIONS Club Arnstadt-Ilmenau, the Rotary Clubs of Arnstadt and Ilmenau and the TU Ilmenau are therefore organizing a benefit concert on Saturday, February 25, 6:30 p.m., the proceeds of which, including voluntary donations, will go entirely to the food banks in Ilmenau and Arnstadt.
