On to the next round! On Thursday, June 20, 2024, the 3rd TU Ilmenau Sustainability Day will take place in the foyer of Mensa Ehrenberg from 11 am.

After the great interest last year, there will again be a variety of hands-on activities and information stands this semester, including on the sustainability strategy of the TU Ilmenau, on initiatives of various actors at the university and on research projects on the topics of biodiversity and climate-resilient forest conversion.

The Sustainability Day is organized by the Sustainability Working Group in the Sports, Environment and Health Department of the University's Student Council (StuRa) in cooperation with Studierendenwerk Thüringen.

11:00-14:00, Foyer Mensa:

  • Second-hand fashion area
  • Tasting session on healthy drinking behavior with "infused water"
  • Games and information stands from student sustainability initiatives
  • Information stands on sustainability in teaching and research and on sustainable nutrition

At the same time, the Mensa team will offer many delicious vegetarian menus and a dish with meat.

16:00-18:00, multi-purpose room Mensa (opposite the ASC):

The Sustainability Task Group will provide information about TU Ilmenau's sustainability strategy and ongoing projects on the way to a "Sustainable Community".

About the Sustainability Task Group

Raising awareness of sustainability among university members - this is the goal of the StuRa's Sustainability Task Group (AG), which was founded in May 2023. A wide range of activities and projects are designed to encourage people to critically question their actions.
