They were able to take a look behind the scenes of the virtual studio of the MDR Thüringen Journal and get to know various positions in the associated broadcasting department. In the MDR radio production studio, they gained an insight into the work processes of the presenters and music editors. The last stop was at the KiKA studio, where they learned about working with real sets and the green screen. During the tour, the students also got to meet working students on site and were able to ask all kinds of questions during an extended break.
But that wasn't all: afterwards, the students had a lively discussion with editors from the 360° editorial team about their careers and everyday work as journalists, as well as challenges in the field of media skills and media culture.
The students were accompanied by their lecturers Elisabeth Wagner-Olfermann from the Department of Public Relations and Technical Communication and Katja Rätz.
