The "International Engineers for Thuringia" Program is one of the FIT Programs at german higher Institutions sponsored by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) through the funds of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

The Program aims to counteract the shortage of qualified engineers in Thuringia by supporting international Students from English-language Master degree programs in Engineering from preparation ahead of studies to graduation. This program offers comprehensive support with german language courses, science camps, employer forums, company visits, career advice, etc. for comprehensive professional development.

 

Target Group

To take part in the Program, students from following Study Programs are highly encouraged to apply:

 
  • Research in Computer and Systems Engineering (M.Sc.)

  • Communications and Signal Processing (M.Sc.)

  • Micro- and Nanotechnologies (M.Sc.)

  • Research in Media Engineering (M.Sc.)

How to join the Program

All international students to be enrolled in Research in Computer and Systems Engineering, Computer and Signal processing, Micro- and Nanotechnologies and Research in Media Engineering for the Winter Semester 2024/2025 are eligible to apply for the Program.

A major requirement for participation in the program is the interest to work in the Free state of Thuringia after completion of Studies. This interest should be declared during the application.
