From May 4 to 6, 2023, the 58th Hohenheim Advanced Seminar took place in the buildings of the Bauhaus University Weimar. In addition to the "Law and Economics of Digitization" department, the "Economic Theory" department of the TU Ilmenau was also on site, with Juliane Mendelsohn and Lukas Breide submitting a (draft) paper on the possible consideration of the direction of innovation in European merger control. In addition, Juliane Mendelsohn gave a co-presentation on the paper by Martina Eckardt (Andrássy University Budapest) and Wolfgang Kerber (Philipps University Marburg) entitled "Property rights theory, bundles of rights on IoT data, and the Data Act" and Lukas Breide gave a co-presentation on the paper "Die Rolle des öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunks im Zeitalter von TikTok: Ökonomische Anmerkungen" by Björn Kuchinke and Jürgen Rösch (Bauhaus-Universität Weimar).In addition to the academic discussions and the certainly helpful exchange, the participants were also offered a tour of the historic campus of the Bauhaus-Universität.
