Electrical energy is the most important energy source of the future. The energy turnaround, i.e. the conversion of the electrical energy supply to predominantly renewable energy sources as well as new energy, information and communication technologies require emphatic changes in the operational environment of electrical energy systems. The study programme provides students with the latest technological and methodological knowledge in the fields of energy and automation technology.
The course is characterized by the topicality of the contents taught and intensive, practice-oriented research work. Projects to be worked on independently or in a team as well as an innovation project play an important role in the study programme. All project work takes place within the framework of highly topical research focuses. There is always close cooperation with the supervising scientists.
The programme is suitable for engineering graduates (bachelor's or equivalent degree), but also for engineers already working in the field of energy and systems engineering. Graduates work worldwide in small, medium or large companies in the fields of power generation, distribution and transmission, such as
- Network operator
- manufacturers of energy and automation technology products and systems
- Network planners and plant engineers
In the Electrical Energy Systems degree program, you can choose all modules according to your interests. You can choose subjects from the engineering sciences and modules to develop your soft skills. Each semester is accompanied by practical research work as part of cutting-edge projects. Our excellent laboratory facilities are at your disposal.
We live 1-by-1 coaching with our students. You are part of the campus community from day one. Our graduates are competitive on the international job market.
