Liana Khamidullina receives the Best GRIAT Student Award 2018

In the annual graduation ceremony at Kazan National Research Technical University (KNRTU-KAI) on September 14, 2018, Liana Khamidullina was honored as the best graduating student of the German-Russian Institute of Advanced Technologies (GRIAT). GRIAT (https://griat.kai.ru/) currently offers 9 Double-Master programs with the 3 German partner universities (TU Ilmenau, OvGU Magdeburg, and TU Kaiserslautern). The students usually spend the third semester at the corresponding German partner university. Liana Khamidullina has studied in the international Master of Science in Communications and Signal Processing (MSCSP) program at KNRTU-KAI (Russian Federation) and TU Ilmenau (Germany). During her studies, she also published and presented a paper at the International Workshop on Smart Antennas (WSA 2018) in Bochum, Germany. The main objective of her excellent Master thesis (that was jointly supervised by Prof. Martin Haardt, TU Ilmenau, and Prof. Adel Nadeev, KNRTU-KAI) is to derive analytical expressions of the Cramér-Rao lower Bound for near-field source localization using the exact spherical wavefront model in bistatic MIMO Radar systems.

Liana Khamidullina has also received an ERASMUS+ scholarship to return to TU Ilmenau in October 2018 as a double degree doctoral student.
